Romeo & Juliet Reimagined

KUSC is broadcasting the ninth concert of Pacific Symphony's 2014-2015 classical concert series tonight at 7 PM (PST).

Listen to Alan Chapman's preview on SoundCloud.

If you have never heard the "happy ending" version of Romeo & Juliet, here's your chance.  :)

The first half involved pieces featuring the main violin players and principal cellist of the symphony.

Music director Carl St.Clair conducted with artistic adviser Joseph Horowitz.

Antonio Vivaldi: Concerto in B Minor for 4 Violins, Continuo & Strings, Op. 3, No. 10, RV 580 (Ramond Kobler, Paul Manaster, Jeanne Skrocki, and Bridget Dolkas, violins)
Piotr Ilyich Tchaikovsky: Variations on a Rococo Theme, Op. 33 (Timothy Landauer, cello)
Serge Prokofiev: Romeo and Juliet, Op. 64
