Here are some interesting things that came out of the pre-concert lecture, featuring an interview with Haochen Zhang. :)
He doesn't come from a musical family, but started learning the piano because his mother read something good about it in Reader's Digest.
He has around 10 piano concertos up his sleeves that he can play this instant if asked! And another 10 or so that he can play with a day's notice.
He liked to memorize all of the notes before being asked to by his teacher. Also very good at memorizing numbers, he can dial his contacts by heart, so people are not registered on his cell phone. But, he thinks he won't be able to do that for long, because of the "aging" process! (He's 26, in case you missed it.)
