Magic of Mozart

Went to the Pacific Symphony concert on Sunday.

The Saturday performance will broadcast on KUSC on Sunday, March 6 at 7 PM (PST).

Listen to Alan Chapman's preview on SoundCloud.

Cho-Liang Lin conducted and played the violin.

Mozart: Violin Concerto No. 4
Wagner: Siegfried Idyll
Mozart: Symphony No. 35, “Haffner”

I think this is the first time the Sunday concert was hosted by somebody other than Carl.  The staff wasn't sure, but they said he might be in Costa Rica.

We first saw Cho-Liang Lin on a Sunday concert way back in 2007, when it was called "Classical Connections".  I remember him talking about the choice of the D key in violin concertos, double bowing, etc.
